Cocktails to Fall For

Cocktails to Fall For

At last, autumn has arrived. With each week, the leaves turn and the temperature cools, awakening a taste for warmer flavors such as cinnamon and cider. The spotlight may be on Pumpkin Spice, but we’re branching out a bit. Of course, lattés and baked goods have their place, but if you’re looking to break the pumpkin spice trend, we’ve got you covered with a list of a few of our favorite fall cocktails.

CINNAMON BOURBON HOT TODDY

A staple for the cooler months, the hot toddy has been warming hearts and hands for generations. We’ve found that hot toddies and cinnamon are a perfect complement to any chilly night, and can be made with only a handful of ingredients.

Start by stirring two tablespoons of honey into two cups of water until it comes to a boil, add six tablespoons of bourbon (or more, we won’t judge), a twist of lemon peel, and garnish with a cinnamon stick. It’s the perfect blend of vitamin C for health, honey to soothe and alcohol for an autumn-friendly good time.

AUTUMN RUSSIAN

We can all attribute a few good memories to one or two White Russians. A drink appropriate for almost any occasion, our next favorite is a close relative with a seasonal twist: the Autumn Russian. If you happen to have two parts vodka, one part heavy cream, and one part pumpkin spice Kahlüa handy, we recommend pouring it over ice and welcoming the fall season like an old friend. It’s a glass full of comfort, spice, and everything nice for the chilly months ahead.

APPLE CIDER MIMOSAS

Ah, mimosas: the perfect answer to both welcoming the day and unwinding throughout it. We’d like to take a moment to formally introduce you to one of the simplest and most satisfying drinks this season: Apple Cider Mimosa. Make it like a normal mimosa, but replace the OJ with apple cider, and you’re only a champagne flute away from spending the day watching the leaves dance across the street as you relax on a patio.

RASPBERRY COBBLER

Few things are synonymous with both Sullivan’s and Fall, but our Raspberry  Cobbler cocktail fits the bill. All month long, we’ll be shaking up our 20th Anniversary with this celebration of sweetness. Comprised of Remy Martin VSOP, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, muddled raspberries, fresh lemon juice and a dash of simple syrup, it’s a refreshing twist on fall flavors. Join us for one; we’ll save you a seat at the bar.

Enjoy these recipes in the comfort of your own home or try a few seasonal flavors with us on your next night out. Our signature cocktails and swinging live music give anyone a reason to make these autumn nights unforgettable.

Which one of these delightful concoctions will your warm up to this season? Tell us in the comments.
