Leo Verde was born In Caracas, Venezuela. He began his career as a dishwasher in New Orleans, working in landmark and historic restaurants like Pastore’s, La Louisiane, Commander’s Palace, Emeril’s, Emeril’s Delmonico, and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak Houses in New York, Las Vegas and Dallas. He has been at the helm of Sullivan’s in Baton Rouge since 2003. Verde is known in the community for his commitment to public service and many charities that he serves and raises thousands of dollars for. Leo sits on the Board of the Epicurean Society and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is also very involved with the Junior League and Big Buddy Program. He raised $32,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Baton Rouge Chapter while running the 2013 Boston Marathon.
